Building Words of Hope Cranes

The Words of Hope Cranes effort will be responsible for making roughly 700-1000 origami cranes with prayers and words of strength for the families and students directly affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings.

Running Out of Silence

Running out of Silence is a Walk/Run to raise awareness about domestic violence. Participants will be able to choose a 1 mile (around MSUB) or 5 mile (from MSUB to YWCA and back) course. Proceeds from the event will go to the YWCA, Gateway House and other local non-profit agencies that assist domestic violence victims and their families. There will be activities for the whole family beginning at 11:00 am including, face painting, food, games, silent auction, vender booths and lots of information! The Walk/Run will begin at 12:00.
