DVAAS is looking for volunteers to assist in making “Words of Hope Cranes”. The Words of Hope Cranes effort will be responsible for making roughly 700-1000 origami cranes with prayers and words of strength for the families and students directly affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings. We will be folding the cranes on January 5th and 6th, 2013 at a public location yet to be determined.
Volunteering your time for this event will simply require you to show up on the date and times provided to help cut, fold and put together paper origami cranes with non-denominational prayers and words of hope attached.
To volunteer your time, complete the form below and you will be contacted with further information including location and time of the event. DVAAS will also be accepting monetary donations as well as care package goods such as toys, books, stuffed animals, etc. that will be provided directly to the providing agencies for the families and students.
